What is involved in performing a Syscheck? Is that something I can do on my end?
Do you know if this would be a problem? I guess I can try install d2x cIOS installer again to see if that works.
I did follow wii.guide for the full setup, although at the end of installing d2x cIOS installer I accidentally clicked "add cIOS to batch" a few times while trying to exit the menu. Usb was in port 0, although I did try it in the other aswell. Witgui is the equivalent of wii backup manager to mac. Launch the launcher directly from the HomeBrewChannel. Make sure it's not nkit if you're trying to play a Wii game.ĭon't use a forwarder. How do you know? Try another brand/type device.)
(a really common issue with USB flash drives and other common hardware. Software isn't setup properly (nintendont and usblgx both work with default settings and require the games to be named a particular way on the usb) Make sure you have the latest versions, unless you have a good reason otherwise. We can only confirm this with a syscheck.
Mod isn't setup properly (d2x as per wii.guide). WRONG PORT! In most cases your usb should be in port 0, that's the one closest to the underside of the Wii.
There are only a few things that will prevent a game from running. What is witgui? I am sure wii.guide doesn't include anything with this program name Thanks to anyone that can point me in the right direction
I did also want to mention that when finishing installing d2x cIOS installer I accidentally clicked home a few times while trying to figure out how to exit the menu, the menu item for this was "add cIOS to batch", does it matter at all that I selected this option? I'm not super technical, so a lot of this stuff flies right over my head. So is there anything glaringly obvious that I have done wrong? My apologies if the above post is full of unnecessary information. At this point when I load USB Loader GX The game doesn't show up, only the channels that were on the Wii previously (Wii Fit, news channel etc). I did read something about file names being important, but couldn't properly understand what the file should be called.Īt this point I put the flash drive in the Wii, and open Homebrew, inside I can see USB Loader GX alongside Priloader &d2x cIOS Installer. I should mention that I named the file Mario Kart Wii, as this is what the file was already called before I converted it. After around 10 minutes I get a notification to tell me the conversions were successful (at this point I can not see the Mario Kart wbfs file in the flash drive). There is an option: Keep only DATA and CHANNEL partitions (I didn't know what this meant, so I kept it unchecked).Īfter confirming this, a progress bar appears showing Witgui is doing its thing. I then dragged the wbfs file from my computer into the wbfs folder on the flash drive. I launched Witgui and clicked "folder", and navigated to a wbfs file I have saved on my computer, I then clicked "folder again and navigated to the wbfs folder on my flash drive. I formatted a 16gb Lexar flash drive to Fat32, and created a folder called "wbfs" I downloaded Witgui & dowloaded wit, wwt & database. I have Extracted USB Loader GX and put it in the apps folder of the SD card I have used for everything else. Unfortunately though, once I got to the USB Loader GX step, this is where the wheels fell off. So after some issues getting letterbomb working, I am fairly confident I was successful in getting everything installed up to the end of the wii.guide.
Ok, so I realise the top thread in the sub at the moment is about using the search feature before asking for help, but I have worked myself in to a state of complete confusion trying to work this out.
